Custom website design in Kent County

Sites written from a blank page for one business and one goal — for Grand Rapids and every city in Kent County, at a fixed price you see before we start.

"Custom" is the most abused word in web design. Most Kent County businesses that paid for a custom site got a purchased theme with their logo dropped in. Ours are written from a blank page: your words, your offer, your one most important action, then a design built around getting a visitor to take it.

Written for you

Copy comes from a call about your business — what you sell, who calls, what a job is worth. Not from a placeholder that says "Lorem ipsum" or "we are passionate about quality".

Built around one action

A plumber wants calls. A salon wants bookings. A manufacturer wants a request-for-quote. The whole page is arranged to make that action the obvious next step.

No template ceiling

When you want a feature the theme does not have, a template site stalls. A custom one gets the feature — an instant quote, an intake bot, a gallery that loads in a second.

Yours outright

Domain, hosting and code sit in your name from day one. Move it, edit it, hand it to someone else. Nothing is locked to a builder subscription.

How a Kent County build goes

01

A call about the business

Twenty minutes on what you sell, who buys it, what a new customer is worth, and what the site has to do. That call is where the copy comes from.

02

Fixed quote

Scope, price and timeline in writing before anything is built. If you want more later, that is a new quote, not a surprise on the invoice.

03

Real pages, early

You see the actual site at a shared link within days, not a slide deck. We rework the first version until you sign off.

04

Live, and found

Launch includes on-page SEO, local schema and Google Business setup, so a business in Rockford shows up for searches in Rockford — not only downtown.

Where we work in Kent County

We are based in Grand Rapids and build for businesses across the county: Wyoming and Kentwood along 28th Street, Grandville and Walker on the west side, East Grand Rapids, Rockford and Cedar Springs up US-131, Byron Center and Caledonia to the south, Lowell and Sparta at the edges. The build is the same everywhere because it happens over a call and a link; what changes is the local search setup, which we point at the city your customers actually search from.

If you are outside the county — Holland, Muskegon, Kalamazoo, the lakeshore — see web design for West Michigan.

Questions people ask

Does a custom website cost more than a template?

Not with us. A custom Starter site is $999, which is less than a year of a DIY builder plan once you add the paid template, the forms add-on and the removal of the builder's branding. Custom means the copy, structure and design are written for your business — not that the price starts at $10,000.

Which parts of Kent County do you work with?

All of it: Grand Rapids, Wyoming, Kentwood, Grandville, Walker, East Grand Rapids, Rockford, Byron Center, Caledonia, Lowell, Cedar Springs and Sparta. Everything happens over a call and a shared link, so a business in Sparta gets the same build as one downtown.

Can I edit the site myself afterwards?

Yes. Small text and photo changes are simple to make yourself, and we show you how. If you would rather never touch it, the care plan includes a set number of monthly edits — you email the change and we make it.

How long does a custom site take?

A Starter site typically goes live in days; a multi-page Business site in one to two weeks. Because we build with AI assistance, the slow part is usually waiting on photos and approvals, not the build.
