Affordable web design in Grand Rapids: what $999 buys

A custom site written for your business, live in days, priced up front — and an honest list of what the cheapest package does not include.

"Affordable" and "cheap" are different purchases. Cheap is a $400 marketplace template with your logo and someone else's stock photos. Affordable is a custom, fast, three-page site written for your business for $999 — the price is published, fixed, and quoted before we start. This page says exactly what that buys and when you should spend more.

What $999 buys

Up to three custom pages

Usually a home page that makes the case, a services page that answers the questions, and a contact page that gets the call. Written from a call about your business, not filled in from a template.

A form and a phone number that work

Lead form tested end to end into your inbox, click-to-call on mobile, and analytics so you know which page produced the call.

On-page SEO and Google setup

Titles, descriptions, local schema and your Google Business Profile set up, so the site can rank for your service in your city instead of sitting invisible.

Speed, mobile, ownership

Built mobile-first, fast by construction, and put in your name — domain, hosting and code. If you leave, you take it with you.

What it does not buy

Being clear about this is the reason our cheapest package is not a disappointment.

An online store

Product catalogues, carts and payments are a different build with different hosting. If you sell online, we scope it properly rather than squeezing it into three pages.

Eight service pages

A business with many distinct services — a clinic, a law practice, a contractor doing roofing, siding and gutters — needs a page per service to rank for each. That is the Business package, from $2,499.

A custom tool

An instant-quote calculator or intake bot is what turns a site from a brochure into a salesperson. It is the Growth package, from $4,999, and it is where the largest return usually is.

Ongoing changes

The build includes rework until you sign off. Changes after launch are either yours to make — we show you how — or covered by the care plan from $199 a month.

Questions people ask

Are there hidden costs on top of the $999?

Two, and neither is ours: a domain name, usually $10–$20 a year from the registrar, and hosting, which for a static site is a few dollars a month in your own account or included in the care plan. There is no setup fee, no platform fee and no charge for the copy.

How can a custom site be this cheap?

Three reasons. We build with AI assistance, so a Starter site takes days rather than weeks. There is no agency overhead — no account manager, no project manager, no office. And the scope is fixed, so nobody is billing hours to discover what you want.

Can I start with the Starter site and grow later?

Yes. The Starter site is built the same way as the bigger packages, so adding pages, a gallery or a custom tool later is an addition, not a rebuild. Many businesses start with three pages and add the rest once the calls come in.

How do I pay?

Against the quote, by invoice, in stages agreed before work begins. You are never asked to enter a card on this site.

What should I NOT buy the cheap option for?

An online store with hundreds of products, a site that needs a login and customer accounts, or a business with eight distinct services that each need their own page. Those are Business or Growth builds, and we will say so on the call rather than sell you a Starter that will not do the job.

Tell me the business and what you need the site to do. If the $999 site fits, I'll say so; if it won't do the job, I'll say that too.
