Web development in Grand Rapids, MI

Hand-coded sites and working tools for Grand Rapids businesses — fast on a phone, wired into the tools you already use, and priced as a fixed quote before a line is written.

Web development is the part of a website you cannot see in a screenshot: the code that makes it load in under a second on a phone in a parking lot, send a form to the right inbox, and connect to the tools you already run. We design and develop every site ourselves for Grand Rapids businesses, at a fixed price, with no hand-off between a designer and a developer.

Hand-written, not assembled

Our default build is plain HTML, CSS and a little JavaScript served from a content delivery network — the same way this site is built. No theme, no page builder, no forty plugins waiting for a security patch.

Fast by construction

A page that ships no framework and no tracking bloat is fast without tuning. Speed is a ranking signal and, more importantly, the reason a visitor on a slow connection stays.

Integrations that do work

Forms into your CRM or inbox, bookings into your calendar, calls tracked, quotes calculated on the page. If a tool you use has an API, we can wire the site to it.

Software, not just pages

We build and sell our own apps. When your site needs a real feature — a quote engine, an intake bot, a customer portal — it is written by someone who ships software, not a template editor.

What "development" includes on every build

Most Grand Rapids web design quotes stop at the mock-up. Ours include the engineering, because a beautiful page that scores 40 on a speed test or loses the contact form to a spam filter is a site that does not bring in business.

Performance and mobile

Every page is built mobile-first and measured with Google's own tools before launch. Images are sized for the screen that loads them, fonts are limited to what the design needs, and there is no third-party script on the page that you did not ask for.

Forms, calls, and tracking that arrive

A lead form is only useful if it lands somewhere you read. We test every form end to end, add click-to-call on mobile, and set up analytics so you can see which page produced the call. No "we'll add tracking later".

Structured data and clean markup

Search engines read a site through its code. We ship the schema markup that tells Google what your business is, where it is, and what it sells, and we keep the HTML simple enough that a crawler and a screen reader both understand it.

Hosting you own

Static sites cost almost nothing to host and have nothing to hack. We set hosting up in your account and, if you want us to run it, the care plan covers updates, backups, and monitoring from $199 a month.

Custom tools we build alongside a site

The difference between a brochure and a site that works while you sleep is usually one small piece of software.

01

Instant-quote calculator

A visitor enters the size of the job and sees a real range before calling. Contractors, cleaners, landscapers and movers get fewer tire-kickers and more booked calls.

02

Booking or intake bot

Collects the details you would ask on the first call — address, timing, photos — and drops them into your inbox or calendar, at 11pm on a Sunday.

03

Missed-call-to-text

When you cannot pick up, the caller gets a text within seconds and the lead is not lost to the next name on the list.

04

Anything with an API

Inventory, pricing sheets, review requests, appointment reminders. If the data exists somewhere, the site can use it.

Questions people ask

What is the difference between web design and web development?

Design is what the site looks like and how it reads; development is the code that makes it load fast, work on a phone, submit a form, and connect to your booking or quoting tool. We do both on every build, so you never have a designer handing a mock-up to a developer who then quotes you again.

Do you build web apps and custom tools, or only websites?

Both. The Growth package pairs a site with one working tool — an instant-quote calculator, a booking or intake bot, or missed-call-to-text — and larger tools are quoted on their own. Our own products are apps we built and sell, so the same person who writes your site writes real software.

Do you work with WordPress, Shopify, or Squarespace?

When a site already runs on one of them and it is doing its job, we work inside it. For new builds our default is hand-written HTML, CSS and JavaScript on a content delivery network, because it is faster, cheaper to host, and has no plugin stack to patch. If you need a store or an editor-friendly CMS, we say so in the quote.

Who owns the code when the site is done?

You do. The repository, the domain, and the hosting account are in your name. If you leave, you take the whole site with you — no export fee, no rebuild.

How much does web development cost in Grand Rapids?

A Starter site is $999, a multi-page Business site starts at $2,499, and a site with one custom tool starts at $4,999. Every project gets a fixed quote before work begins; there is no hourly meter.
